Q: My child is too young for the 4th grade age limit CPAL has for the classes. Do you offer classes for younger children?
A: CPAL does not currently offer any drama classes for younger children. If there seems to be a demand for a program for younger children, we may develop a program in the future.
Q: My 5 year old has the theater bug and I think she would love to take a class or be in a show. What do you recommend?
A: There are theatre classes offered in Cincinnati that will accept younger children and that might not be a bad idea if you are serious about helping to get your child into shows. The other option is to try to get your child as much stage time as possible. There are shows that are designed to involve many young people and offer several levels of parts for different skill levels.
Q: My child has taken the CPAL drama classes and wants to start auditioning for some shows. How do I find out about local shows that need young people in their show's cast?
A: Keep an eye on the newspapers for audition opportunities.
