The mission of the Drama Program of 'Children's Performing Arts of Lakota, Inc.' is to bring age and ability appropriate drama opportunities to the youth of Lakota.

For beginner students:
Beginner Drama - The first CPAL class for everyone in 4th through 8th grade interested in drama.  Only young people who have been though Drama Camps or drama classes will be allowed to skip this class.  This class will be offered on Monday or Tuesday evenings.  When you sign up for the Tuesday session, you will attend all ten Tuesday classes.  When you sign up from the Monday session, you will attend all ten Monday classes.  The cost of the CPAL beginner class is $85.00.  Participants will receive a CPAL t-shirt.

For students who have completed the 'Beginner Drama' CPAL class or similar drama training, we will be offering an INTERMEDIATE level class.  These classes will be held Tuesday Evenings at the Lakota West Freshman School.

Intermediate Drama -  CPAL will be offering this class on Tuesday evenings.  The Intermediate Class this session will be working on scenes. Students will learn line interpretation, character development and most importantly, how to tell the story.  The cost of the CPAL intermediate class is $85.00.  Participants will receive a CPAL t-shirt.

Our curriculum for our drama programs stresses the basic skills that are needed for theater at every level.  These are the same skills that will give a child more confidence and self esteem.  Our curriculum is designed to grow with the skills of our students.  Class content and expectations will progress as the talents of our students increase.
